Since opening our doors in December 2018, Combe Garden Centre quickly found itself at the centre of the local Honiton community. With our on-site eatery, The Kitchen, (opened in June 2019) and Velvet and Parade shop opening a year later in June 2020, we now have even more excuses for you to pop in and see us — so make sure you stop by soon. Our gardeners know all the dirt so take a moment to meet our team, below.
James Trevett
Working in the garden retail trade and winning national awards since age 17, there’s nothing James doesn’t know about gardening. Alongside Combe Estate, he has worked hard to launch Combe Garden Centre and takes pride in running a personal, local garden centre that puts its customers first.
Scoop
The best shop dog ever! Scoop will greet you with a wag and a sniff. He's always grateful for any love and treats you may have.
Marion
Marion has been with Combe Garden Centre since our opening day, bringing her extensive experience to the team. She is always on-hand to advise on plant care and sundry.
Andrea
The passion that Andrea has for plants is only matched by her experience and knowledge. She’s a true one-of-a-kind and will happily answer any of your plant care queries.
Alan
AKA Big Al. Alan treats his plants like they are his kids, always ensuring they get what they need to stay healthy both on our shelves and in your garden. If you need tips on growing vegetables, he’s your man!
Laura
With years of floristry experience, Laura’s green fingers take expert care of our house plant displays. She’s full of little tips on plant care and is always happy to help you pick the perfect plant for any room.
Jo
Jo's quick wit and humour match her knowledge and skills for our admin needs. Though she's normally in the office, sometimes you'll see her on the shop floor ready to create displays and give advice.
Myles
Our resident cheeky chappy, you'll see Myles out and about delivering your orders with a smile.
Kevin
You'll find Kevin either in the shop ready to give you a hand with choosing items, or he'll be outside getting his steps in and loading cars with compost.
Christina
Christina has been with us since 2022, she brings us a wealth of retail and horticulture knowledge. She's always ready to help design your next border and to help display items within the shop.
Mark
Mark's horticulture career matches his passion and knowledge for plants. You'll often find him perusing plants for his own beautiful garden - while helping customers design theirs too.
